What is PULSE: LHH?

PULSE: LHH is a Washington-based young professionals group that raises funds and awareness for the American Heart Association. Many PULSE: LHH members are attorneys and staff in the law firm, legal vendor and compliance sectors, but the committee is open to any professionals who would like to make a positive impact on the heart-health of the Greater Washington Region while networking and enjoying social events.

The PULSE: LHH Committee is comprised of 25 members who plan the events for the PULSE: LHH group, educate their peers about cardiovascular diseases, and lead their colleagues, families & friends in a fundraising campaign for the American Heart Association.

PULSE: LHH Committee Expectations

PULSE: LHH Committee Goal: Raise awareness of cardiovascular diseases in our community while raising $25,000 to fund the American Heart Association’s mission to provide education and research opportunities.

As a member of PULSE: LHH we ask you to:

Raise a minimum total of $1,000 for the American Heart Association through Lawyers Have Heart (can be through a combination of a personal donations, fundraising through family, friends and colleagues as well as recruiting friends to attend events)
Create an online fundraising page for Lawyers Have Heart – either personal or through your company and connect it to your social networking sites. Get your fundraising page started with a minimum $100 donation of your own.
Attend the Lawyers Have Heart 10K Run & Fun Walk on June 11, 2011 and the ancillary events (tentatively scheduled for November, February, May and July).
Recruit 5 fellow peers to attend in the events that are planned by this sub-committee

In return for your commitment and support, the American Heart Association will:

Bring members together to make contacts and network with other Young Leaders Committee members as well as with prominent members of the Lawyers Have Heart Leadership Committee
List you and your company/firm affiliation on the Lawyers Have Heart website as well as the annual post-race newsletter distributed to all sponsors
Provide complete support as it relates to the Lawyers Have Heart Young Leaders Sub-Committee
Provide education and AHA mission-related information and resources outlining how you and your loved ones can live healthier, stronger lives.
